One observes a faint afterimage of complementary color on a blank canvas after staring at one color for some time. We like to think of Forbidden Resonances and Five Kōans in that way; they are contrasting, yet desiring each other. Together, they trace a perpetual journey of becoming aware of our external and internal spaces and reveal diverse dialogues that emerge therein. Encircling these improvisations are the two Palimpsests; they form afterimages of each other and, at the same time, they comment on Forbidden Resonances and Five Kōans.
